Common Sunflame hob problems we fix
Clicking, but the burner does not light
The spark is there and the gas is not, or a burner cap went back off-centre after cleaning and the spark jumps to nothing. We check the cap seating and clear the jet before anybody blames the ignition.
No spark at all
On a mains-ignition hob it is usually the spark generator under the top or the socket feeding it; on a battery-ignition hob it is often just a flat cell. We find out which before a part is changed.
Flame uneven, lifting or going yellow
Brass burner heads collect boiled-over milk and dal in their ports. The ports and the jet are cleaned, a warped cap is replaced, and each burner's low flame is set again.
Glass top cracked or chipped
Toughened glass that has cracked is not safe to cook on and cannot be glued. We fit a matching top where Sunflame supplies one and move the burners and knobs across.
Parts and warranty
Burner caps, brass burner heads, knobs, electrodes and ignition units are the parts most often changed on Sunflame hobs. Where Sunflame supplies a part we fit it; where it does not, we fit a matched equivalent and say so on the bill. Our work carries our own service warranty; parts carry the maker's.
HouseTech Care is an independent multi-brand service, not Sunflame's authorised service centre. We use genuine parts where the maker supplies them and say so when we cannot.
