Common Faber gas stove problems we fix
Auto-ignition stopped sparking
On a freestanding stove the spark usually comes from a battery unit under the top. A flat cell, a cracked electrode or a switch wet from a spill stops it. We test each one and change only the part that has gone.
Yellow or sooty flame on one burner
That burner's ports or its jet are partly blocked, or the cap is not sitting right, so the gas does not get enough air. Cleaned and set; a yellow flame leaves soot on your utensils and wastes gas.
Gas smell near the knobs
The valve behind a knob has lost its grease or its seal. It is serviced or replaced and leak-tested. Until then, keep the regulator off.
Glass top cracked
A cracked toughened-glass top is replaced, not patched. We fit a matching top where Faber supplies one.
Parts and warranty
Burner caps and heads, valves, knobs, electrodes, ignition units and glass tops are the Faber gas stove parts we change most. Where Faber supplies the part we fit it; where it does not, we fit a matched equivalent and say so on the bill. Our work carries our own service warranty; parts carry the maker's.
HouseTech Care is an independent multi-brand service, not Faber's authorised service centre. We use genuine parts where the maker supplies them and say so when we cannot.
