Suction has faded

Filters and impeller coated with oil. A deep clean brings most of it back; we measure the airflow before and after.

Chimney will not start

Capacitor, control board or a burnt switch. Tested in turn, replaced only where needed.

Noise from the motor

Dry bearings or a cracked blower wheel. We check both before recommending a motor.

Lights or controls dead

LED driver or control board. Replaced with an equivalent if the original is discontinued.

Parts and warranty

Original Philips chimney parts are limited; where one is unavailable we fit a matched equivalent motor, filter or board and tell you before doing it. Our work carries our own service warranty.

We repair Philips chimneys at your home, use genuine Philips parts where Philips supplies them and tell you before fitting one that is not. If your Philips chimney is still under Philips's warranty, call Philips's own service line first.

Some are, many are not. Filters, motors and capacitors have good equivalents; a discontinued control board sometimes does not, and we will tell you honestly whether a repair is worth it.

If the body and ducting are sound, a clean plus a motor or board is far cheaper than a new chimney. If the fault is a part with no equivalent, we say so and charge only the visit.

Repairs are quoted once the fault is found, before any work starts.
