Common Crompton geyser problems we fix
Not heating
Element or thermostat, tested in that order. A burnt terminal or a loose connection at the point is the third thing we check, and costs nothing to fix.
Heating, but slowly and not for long
Scale in the tank and on the element. Descaled and flushed; the anode rod is checked while the tank is open.
Water leaking
Inlet or outlet joints are a washer. A leak from the tank body is not worth repairing, and we say so rather than take the job.
Trips the MCB or ELCB
Element leaking to earth, or earthing at the point. Switch it off and call — this is not one to keep using.

Crompton elements, thermostats and valves are available for current models; older ones get a matched equivalent of the same rating, noted on the bill. Our work carries our own service warranty; parts carry the maker's.
